Instructions:

Based on the community formations of LGBTQI/queer and feminist communities, write an essay that critically explores and reflects upon the nature, composition and lived reality of the community.

In your essay you must consider:

• The configuration of belonging in the community, and
• The dynamics of sameness and difference (homogeneity and heterogeneity)

You may use examples and/or cultural texts (films, artworks, novels, magazines, television shows, advertisements) as a means to examine your chosen community.

This is a research essay and you are expected to conduct independent research.

You are required to cite 2-4 sources in addition to the 2 required readings.
