How to complete this work sample
You must answer all the questions in this assessment task. When answering the questions make sure you reflect on your work experiences whilst on placement.
Your answers must be attached to this assessment with a cover sheet and submitted to your MEGT assessor by the due date.
Part 1 – Cultural inclusivity
This task requires you to investigate and identify cultural groups within your service and community, as well as inclusive practices that support and encourage the inclusion of families from diverse cultures. You will then need to plan and implement an experience that supports inclusive practices at your service.
In consultation with your Workplace Supervisor, identify and record the cultures that are represented within your service and the local community. (The local community is Camberwell and you can make up the cultures is my centre)
• Give 2 examples of how your service collects information about each family’s cultural background? (make it up)
• Explain what community protocols you would follow when engaging with community members? You need to demonstrate in your answer that you have researched and understood how you would follow these protocols.

Identify practices implemented at your service that reflect the diverse backgrounds of the children and families within the service. Make sure you consider policies, procedures, practices, teaching strategies, the program and the environment. (make it up base on a centre which accept different cultures)
Part 2 – Planned Experience
Access ‘UNICEF Play around the World’
Use this resource to plan an experience for a small group of children and implement this experience while on placement.
• You must seek permission from your workplacement supervisor and agree on a suitable time to implement your experience.
• Your workplace supervisor must sign your planning template.
