Do attitudes such as organisational commitment affect employee motivation?
The ability to motivate employees is an essential skill for good managers. Recent research
suggests that attitudes such as organisational commitment play a role in motivating
employees to be effective and productive workers. Using research evidence from scholarly
or peer reviewed journal articles (dated 2005 or later), (i) critically analyse the
characteristics / elements of organisational commitment, and (ii) evaluate the consequences
of organisational commitment in the context of employee motivation.
