Research and Development (R&D) in business: Many companies find it increasingly difficult to meet their
growth targets and often use R&D to find solutions to create additional revenue streams. However, there
needs to be a close link between an organisation’s business strategy and R&D strategy. Critically discuss
the importance of strengthening the link between R&D and business strategy for global organisations. Also,
examine how these organisations can ensure emerging opportunities within their operating environment are
maximised and exposure to risks arising from R&D activities are minimised.
