The purpose of this project is to provide students with the opportunity to apply concepts, theories and models of supervisory leadership learned in the class to a real world leader. In groups of two (2) or three (3), students will choose one public figure that they consider a leader and prepare a report and presentation. Groups MUST check with the instructor before choosing a public figure!
Value: 30%
Directions:
Select one public figure that you consider a leader.

The project must contain the following components:

1. Profile the leader by providing a brief description of his/her successes/accomplishments;
2. Describe the personal attributes that define this person as a leader;
3. Describe this person’s leadership style/approach;
4. Describe situational circumstances that may have played some role in this person’s successes/accomplishments;
5. Present an argument for or against this person’s continuing success as a leader; and,
6. Comment on what you have learned from the project in terms of personal leadership development.
